The ๐Ÿ˜‚ (crying laughing emoji) is one of the most used emojis in the world โ€” and it is surprisingly fun to draw in an exaggerated, cartoon style. Parikshet shows you how to make it look just like the real emoji but with your own hand-drawn character.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ What You Need

  • Pencil and eraser
  • Yellow marker or crayon
  • Blue for the tears
  • Black fine-tip pen

How to Draw the Crying Laughing Emoji Step by Step

  1. Draw the circle โ€” a large, near-perfect circle for the emoji face.
  2. Add the eyes โ€” two curved arcs (like upside-down U shapes) for the laughing eyes, squeezed shut.
  3. Draw the tears โ€” from each eye, draw two or three teardrop shapes cascading downward.
  4. Sketch the mouth โ€” a wide, open laugh: a large curved rectangle open at the bottom. Add the upper teeth as a white rectangle with a dividing line.
  5. Add the laugh lines โ€” curved lines at each corner of the mouth to show the cheeks bunching up.
  6. Draw the rosy cheeks โ€” two large circles on either side of the face, lightly shaded.
  7. Colour โ€” bright yellow for the face, blue tears, white teeth, pink cheeks.
๐Ÿ’ก Parikshet's Tip: The eyes are the most important feature โ€” make them very squinted (nearly closed, like a half-moon shape). Wide-open eyes look surprised rather than laughing.
