This 30-day challenge takes you from typing "a cat" to creating genuinely stunning AI art — by building your prompt skills day by day. Each prompt is slightly more complex than the last.

How to Use This Challenge

• Use Canva AI (free, no age restriction) or Adobe Firefly (free, age 13+)
• Generate each prompt, save the image, and try one variation before moving on
• Keep a folder of your 30 images — you will be amazed at the progress

Week 1: Foundations (Days 1-7)

1. A red apple on a wooden table
2. A cat sitting in a window, raining outside
3. A friendly robot waving hello
4. A house in the middle of a forest
5. An underwater city with glowing fish
6. A dragon reading a book
7. The moon as a pizza (surrealist style)

Week 2: Add Style (Days 8-14)

8. A lighthouse at sunset, watercolour painting style
9. A robot chef cooking, cartoon style, bright colours
10. An enchanted forest, studio Ghibli animation style
11. A flying whale over mountains, oil painting style
12. A city made of candy, isometric 3D game art style
13. A child reading under stars, impressionist style
14. A cat astronaut floating in space, retro 1960s poster style

Week 3: Add Mood and Atmosphere (Days 15-21)

15. An abandoned library, mysterious, dusty, shafts of light, dramatic shadows
16. A village during a festival, joyful, lanterns, warm golden light, people dancing
17. A scientist's laboratory, magical, glowing potions, steam, midnight blue atmosphere
18. A snowy mountain peak, lonely, majestic, purple dawn, eagle flying past

Week 4: Tell a Story (Days 22-30)

For these prompts, create 3 images that tell a mini story. Design the beginning, middle and end.

22. A robot discovers a single flower in a grey city (beginning)
23. The robot plants seeds all over the city (middle)
24. The city is transformed into a garden, robots and humans celebrating together (end)
25. Create the villain of a story — what do they look like? What do they want?
26. Create the hero who will stop them
27. Create the world they live in
28. The moment before the final battle
29. Design a creature that has never existed — 3 animals combined
30. Design the home of that creature
31. Day 30: Recreate your Day 1 prompt — but with everything you have learned. Compare the two.
