Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Draw SpongeBob's Square Body

Draw a large square for SpongeBob's main body — slightly taller than it is wide, with rounded corners. SpongeBob is literally a rectangular kitchen sponge, so the square shape is fundamental.

Step 2: Add Sponge Holes

All over SpongeBob's square body, draw circular holes of varying sizes — these are the pores of the sponge. Scatter about ten to fifteen holes across the body. Some holes overlap the body edges.

Step 3: Draw SpongeBob's Face

In the upper portion of the square, draw two large round eyes with thick circular pupils. Add a wide, toothy smile with buck teeth in the lower face area — two prominent square front teeth visible. Add SpongeBob's freckles (three brown dots) on each cheek.

Step 4: Add SpongeBob's Outfit
