How to Draw Earth Day Project For School: Step-by-Step for Kids

Get your pencil ready! Follow these easy steps and you'll have an amazing Earth Day Project For School drawing in no time.

What You'll Need

  • Pencil (HB or 2B)
  • Eraser
  • White drawing paper
  • Black marker (optional, for outlines)
  • Coloured pencils or crayons

Step-by-Step: Drawing a Earth Day Project For School

Step 1: Draw the Globe Circle

Draw a large, clean circle in the centre of your page — this will be the Earth. Leave plenty of space around it for decorations.

Step 2: Add the Continents

Inside the globe, draw the main landmasses — start with a large Africa shape in the middle, add Europe above it to the upper left, Asia to the upper right, and the Americas to the left.

Step 3: Draw the Oceans

The areas between the continents are the oceans — leave these as the background colour of the circle (light blue) or lightly shade them in.

Step 4: Add the Water Drop Symbol

Below or beside the globe, draw a large teardrop shape — the universal symbol for water/save water. Add wavy lines inside it to look like actual water.

Step 5: Draw the Trees

Add two or three simple trees around the globe — draw a triangle for the leaves sitting on a thin rectangle trunk.

Step 6: Add the Sun

In one corner, draw a circle for the sun with short lines radiating outward all around it like a star. Label it or colour it bright yellow.

Step 7: Write 'Save Earth'

Draw block letters spelling 'SAVE EARTH' or 'HAPPY EARTH DAY' as a curved text arc above or below the globe. Outline the letters thickly.

Step 8: Add a Border and Decorations

Create a decorative border of leaves, flowers, or recycling symbols around the whole drawing.

Colouring Your Earth Day Project For School

Colour the Earth with blue oceans and green continents. The water drop should be light blue. Trees are green, the sun is golden yellow. Make the border colourful with greens, blues, and yellows.

Tips from Parikshet

  • Look at a real map to get the continent shapes right — Africa is widest in the middle and pointy at the bottom!
  • Add a thin white arc on the left side of the globe to make it look like a shiny sphere.
