How to Draw Simple Everyday Objects: Episode 2
- Warm up with a shape — start each session by quickly drawing a circle, square, and triangle to warm up your hand, just like Day 1 taught you.
- Draw a cup — a trapezoid body with an oval rim on top and a curved handle on the side. A simple, satisfying first object.
- Draw a book — a rectangle with a thin spine on one side and a few lines for the pages along the edges.
- Draw a balloon — a rounded shape with a small knot at the bottom and a curving string.
- Draw a star — a five-pointed star, a great shape to practise for steady hands.
- Draw an apple — a rounded shape with a small dip at the top, a stem, and a leaf.
- Fill the page — fit several simple objects on your Day 2 page. Quantity builds confidence.
- Sign and date Day 2 — keep the streak visible and growing.
🌟 Did You Know?
Scientists who study habits have found it takes anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months for a new behaviour to become automatic. The first week or two is the hardest — which is why the early episodes of a 100-day challenge focus on keeping things simple and enjoyable. Push through the first week, and the daily drawing habit starts to feel natural.
Simple Objects Perfect for Building the Habit
