🖍️ What You Need

  • Pencil and eraser
  • Black, red, and yellow markers
  • White for the face and gloves
  • Black pen for outlines

How to Draw Mickey Mouse Step by Step

  1. Draw the head — a large circle for Mickey's round head.
  2. Add the iconic ears — two perfectly round black circles on top of the head. Mickey's round ears are the most famous shape in cartoon history — and they always stay round, even when he turns his head!
  3. Draw the face area — a rounded muzzle area at the bottom front of the head.
  4. Add the eyes — two tall oval eyes with black pupils.
  5. Draw the nose and smile — a small oval black nose and a big cheerful smile.
  6. Add the body — a small rounded body in his classic red shorts with two big buttons.
  7. Draw the arms and legs — thin arms with big white-gloved hands (four fingers), and legs with large yellow shoes.
  8. Colour — black head, ears, and body; red shorts; white gloves; yellow shoes.
💡 Parikshet's Tip: Mickey's round ears are the most iconic shape in all of animation — and here's the classic rule: they always stay perfectly round circles no matter which way Mickey is facing. Get those two round ears right and the circle-based body, and he's unmistakably Mickey.

🌟 Did You Know?

Mickey Mouse was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1928, and his first big cartoon, 'Steamboat Willie', was one of the very first cartoons with synchronised sound. Mickey's design is famously made almost entirely of circles — his head, ears, and body are all round — which made him easy for animators to draw consistently thousands of times. He's now over 95 years old and still the symbol of Disney!
