Bananas are one of the easiest fruits to draw because they are made from just a few curved lines. In this lesson Parikshet shows you how to draw a single banana and then a small bunch, with the right curve, stem and shading to make it look tasty.

🎨 What You Need

  • Plain paper
  • HB pencil
  • Black fine marker
  • Yellow, brown and green colour pencils
  • Rubber

How to Draw a Banana Step by Step

  1. Step 1 — Draw a long curved line that looks like a soft smile across your paper.
  2. Step 2 — Draw a second curved line below the first one, joining the two ends so you have a long crescent shape.
  3. Step 3 — At the left end, draw a small chunky rectangle pointing up — this is the stem.
  4. Step 4 — At the right end, draw a tiny pointy tip (the dried flower end of the banana).
  5. Step 5 — Add two soft lines running along the length of the banana to show its ridges.
  6. Step 6 — Go over all your pencil lines with a black marker and rub out any pencil marks.
  7. Step 7 — Colour the banana bright yellow, leaving a thin white strip along one edge as a shiny highlight.
  8. Step 8 — Colour the stem green-brown and add a few tiny brown spots on the skin to show it is ripe.
