How to Draw Shy Guy Step by Step
- Draw the robe — a simple bell shape: narrow at the top, flaring out at the bottom. This is the main body.
- Add the cowl/hood — a rounded hood shape at the top of the robe, covering where the head would be.
- Draw the mask — on the front of the hood, draw the iconic white oval mask with two small round eye holes.
- Add the eyes — inside each eye hole, small dark oval pupils looking in a specific direction.
- Sketch the arms — two small mitten-like arms emerging from the sides of the robe.
- Add the shoes — two small round shoes at the bottom of the robe, peeking out from under the hem.
- Draw the belt — a horizontal band around the midsection with a simple rectangular buckle.

Where does Shy Guy come from?
Shy Guy first appeared in Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic (1987) and became a mainstream Mario character through Super Mario Bros. 2. They are now common enemies and characters throughout the Mario universe, including Mario Kart and Paper Mario.
Why does Shy Guy wear a mask?
