A heartwarming birthday story about a boy who learns that the very best gift is something money cannot buy.

The Story

It was Parikshet's birthday, and the table was piled high with presents — colourful boxes, sparkly bags, and ribbons of every colour you could think of.

He tore them open one by one. A remote car, building blocks, a new puzzle, a fluffy teddy bear, a set of paints. "Wow, wow, wow," he kept saying.

Just when he thought he had finished, his grandmother handed him a small envelope. "This," she said, "is the most important present." He opened it carefully.

Inside was a letter. It said: "Dear Parikshet, your gift from me is one whole afternoon. We will go anywhere you like. You choose. Love, Naani."

Parikshet looked up. He had a hundred toys around him, but suddenly only Naani's envelope mattered. "Can we go to the park RIGHT NOW?" he asked.

They spent the whole afternoon feeding ducks, climbing trees and laughing until their cheeks hurt. That night, surrounded by toys, Parikshet wrote in his diary: "Best gift today — time with Naani."
