Step-by-Step: Drawing a Maldives Beach Scene

Step 1: Draw the Horizon Line

Draw a horizontal line across the upper third of your page. Below this line is crystal-clear Maldivian water; above it is the sunny sky.

Step 2: Draw the Overwater Bungalow

In the centre, draw a rectangular box sitting on wooden stilts above the water. Add a steep triangular roof with a zigzag bottom edge to show the thatching. Add a small deck wrapping around the front.

Step 3: Draw the Wooden Walkway

From the bungalow, draw a long wooden walkway extending to one side — two parallel lines with short horizontal planks between them like a ladder lying flat.

Step 4: Draw the Palm Tree

On the right side, draw a tall curved coconut palm. The trunk curves gently upward. At the top, draw six or seven long fronds — each frond is a central curved line with many small diagonal lines on both sides.

Step 5: Draw the Sandy Shore
