Step-by-Step: Drawing an Orange

Step 1: Draw the Main Circle

In the centre of your paper, draw a large, round circle. Real oranges are almost perfectly round, so try to make yours as circular as possible. Press lightly with your pencil first.

Step 2: Add the Dimple at the Top

At the very top of the circle, draw a small curved dip — like a tiny bowl shape. This is where the stem grows out. Real oranges have this little indent at the top.

Step 3: Draw the Stem

Coming out of the dimple, draw a short, thick stem — about 1 cm tall. Make it slightly bent to the left or right so it looks natural, not perfectly straight.
