How to Draw PJ Masks Owlet: Step-by-Step for Kids

Owlet is one of the three PJ Masks heroes — a fearless young girl with owl superpowers who fights villains while everyone else is asleep!

What You'll Need

  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Paper
  • Purple, white, and pink markers

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Draw the Head

Draw a circle for Owlet's head. She is a young child, so the head is quite round and large relative to the body.

Step 2: Draw the Owl Mask

Draw Owlet's eye mask — two large oval shapes across the upper face, the classic superhero mask. Owlet's mask is shaped slightly like owl eyes with pointed outer corners.

Step 3: Add the Eyes

Inside the mask, draw two big, expressive eyes. Owlet's eyes are white with a coloured iris. Add round pupils and white highlight dots. Her eyes are always shown as brave and determined.

Step 4: Add the Mouth and Chin

Draw a small, determined mouth below the mask — slightly smiling, confident. Add the chin below and draw her short pink hair peeking out around the face.

Step 5: Draw the Owl Ears/Hood

On each side of the top of the head, draw two small pointed ear shapes — owl ear tufts. These form part of her purple PJ costume hood that fits over her head.

Step 6: Draw the Body and Costume

Below the head, draw a small, slim child-proportioned body in her purple PJ Masks suit. Add the owl wing design on the chest — a curved wing shape is part of the suit design. Draw her hands at her sides or in an action pose.

Step 7: Draw the Cape/Wings

Behind the arms and from the wrists, draw Owlet's wing cape — a large curved wing shape extending from each wrist. When she spreads her arms, the wings spread too for her flying power.

Step 8: Add the PJ Masks Logo and Legs

On the chest, draw the small PJ Masks symbol (an owl face design). Below the torso, draw slim legs in the purple suit and white boots.

Adding Colour

The entire suit is purple — from the hood to the boots. The wing sections can be a slightly darker purple. White for the boot cuffs. Pink for her hair showing around the face. The mask outline is a slightly different purple with white eye openings.

Tips from Parikshet

  • The ear tufts on the hood are the detail that makes the costume look like an owl — don't skip them.
  • Owlet's wide wing cape is her most dramatic visual feature — draw it spread wide for an action pose.
  • Purple is Owlet's signature colour from head to toe — use different shades of purple to add depth without losing the colour identity.
