  • A flat clean surface

How to Fold an Easy Origami Dog

  1. Start with a square — coloured side down, place it like a diamond (point at top).
  2. Fold in half diagonally — top point down to bottom point, forming a triangle.
  3. Find the centre — fold the triangle in half left-to-right, then unfold to see the centre crease.
  4. Fold down the ears — fold the two top corners of the triangle downwards, so they hang below the bottom edge like floppy ears.
  5. Fold up the chin — fold the bottom point upwards a tiny bit to form a snout.
  6. Open slightly — gently open the folds so the dog can stand on its own.
  7. Add eyes — draw two black dots and a black nose triangle on the face.
  8. Make a friend — repeat with a different colour paper for a whole origami pack.
