💡 Perfect if you're thinking...
Rainbow Friends Green is the sneaky, googly-eyed monster from the popular Roblox horror game — and drawing it is surprisingly satisfying once you understand its simple blobby form and distinctive oversized-eye design. This is Episode 74 of the 6-minute 100 Days Sketching Challenge, where Parikshet draws a different character every day to build drawing confidence and speed.
🖍️ What You Need
- Pencil and eraser
- Bright lime or medium green marker
- Black marker for the outline
- White gel pen or correction fluid for the eye highlights
- Light green for subtle body shading
How to Draw Rainbow Friends Green Step by Step
- Draw the body blob — Green is a large, rounded irregular shape, wider at the bottom and tapering toward the top. Think of it as an avocado or a rounded bowling pin shape — not perfectly symmetrical.
- Establish the eye zone — lightly mark the upper-centre area of the body where the eyes will sit. Green has no separate head — the eyes sit directly on the upper body.
- Draw the eyes — two very large circles, placed close together. Inside each circle, draw a smaller coloured iris ring, and inside that, a small black pupil. Crucially, the pupils should point in slightly different directions — Green is blind, so its eyes have that characteristic unfocused, wandering look.
- Add eye highlights — draw a small white circle in the upper portion of each iris using a white gel pen. This tiny detail brings the eyes to life dramatically.
- Draw the mouth — a wide, slightly curved grin. Add small rectangular teeth along the top of the mouth opening. Green's grin is always present — it never loses the smile.
- Add the legs — two short, rounded legs at the base of the body. Green's legs are stubby and the creature walks with a slight forward lean.
- Draw the arms — two short rounded arms on each side, ending in small mitten-like rounded hands with no visible fingers.
- Add texture and colour — fill with solid bright green. Add small bumps or dots across the surface for a slightly rough, warty skin texture. A very slight darker green shading on one side gives depth.
🌟 Did You Know?
Rainbow Friends Green is the only character in Chapter 1 that is completely blind — it hunts entirely by sound. This makes it the most dangerous monster in quiet areas of the map. In the game, players must stay completely silent when Green is nearby, or it will detect and chase them. Its large unfocused eyes are vestigial — they evolved away due to spending time in darkness.
The Rainbow Friends Colour Guide
Each Rainbow Friend has a distinct colour, shape, and hunting behaviour — and each is fun to draw in a different way:
- Blue — the largest, most rounded character. A massive blue teardrop shape with huge oval eyes and no visible mouth. Hunts by sight.
- Orange — very tall and thin with a long neck and small head. Appears in Chapter 1 during specific events only.
- Purple — aquatic, lives in floor vents. Reaches up to grab players. Drawn as a darker shape with only the upper body visible.
- Red — fast and small, found only in Chapter 2. Has a more complex face design than the others.
🎯 Try This: Draw All 4 Rainbow Friends at Different Sizes
- Draw Blue (largest — the size of your whole fist), Green (medium), Orange (tallest but thinnest), and Purple (just the upper body peering up from below).
- Arrange them on one page from largest to smallest.
- Add the game's colourful playground background behind them.
- Label each character with its name and hunting method.
