How to Draw Rainbow Friends Green: Step-by-Step for Kids
Grab your pencil and let's draw together with Parikshet — Green from Rainbow Friends, the eyeless monster with the enormous snout!
What You'll Need
- Pencil (HB or 2B)
- Eraser
- White paper
- Black marker
- Coloured pencils or crayons (green, dark green, black, white)
Step-by-Step: Drawing Rainbow Friends Green
Step 1: Draw the Round Head
Start near the top-centre of your paper. Draw a large circle for Green's head. It should be rounder than Blue's head — almost a perfect circle, just slightly wider than tall.
Step 2: Draw the Huge, Long Snout
Green's most iconic feature is a massive, long nose/snout that sticks out far to the right (or left). From the centre-left of the head circle, draw a long rectangular snout extending outward. The snout is almost as long as the head is wide. Round off the tip of the snout.
Step 3: Add Nostrils
At the tip of the snout, draw two large oval nostrils side by side. These are very visible and are key to Green's look.
Step 4: No Eyes — Green is Blind!
Green has NO eyes — this is what makes Green extra creepy! Leave the face area above the snout completely blank. Do NOT add eyes.
Step 5: Draw the Body
Below the head, draw a rounded rectangular body — slightly narrower than the head. Green has a bulky, solid body shape.
Step 6: Draw Short Arms and Legs
Add two short arms on either side of the body, ending in rounded hands. Below the body, draw two short, stubby legs with rounded feet. Green is short and wide.
Step 7: Add the Tail
Green has a small rounded tail at the back. Add a short, curved bump at the lower back of the body.
Step 8: Outline and Finalize
Trace all lines with a black marker. The snout outline should be bold and prominent. Erase all pencil marks.
Colouring Your Rainbow Friends Green
Colour the entire character green. Use a slightly darker shade of green on the underside of the snout and the bottom of the body for shadow. The nostrils are dark green or black inside. No eye colour needed!
Parikshet's Tips
- The long snout is the most important part — if it's too short, it won't look like Green. Make it really long and prominent.
- The absence of eyes is what makes Green unique — resist the urge to add them!
- Practice makes perfect!
