El Brown is the cuddly bear-suited brawler from Brawl Stars, and drawing him is a brilliant first step into character art. In this tutorial I will guide you through the shapes that make El Brown look chunky, fierce and fun.
🎨 What You Need
- A4 white paper
- HB pencil for sketching
- Black fine-liner or marker
- Brown, beige, red and black colouring pencils
- Soft eraser
How to Draw El Brown Step by Step
- Start with a large rounded square in the middle of your paper for the bear hood. This will be the biggest shape, so leave room around it.
- Add two small rounded triangles on top for the bear ears, then draw smaller circles inside them for the inner ear.
- Draw an oval inside the hood for El Brown's face. Keep it lower so the hood frames his head nicely.
- Sketch two angry slanted eyebrows, two small round eyes and a wide cheeky smile showing teeth.
- Below the face, draw a chunky body shape like a rounded rectangle, then add two strong arms with mitten-style paws.
- Add the legs as short stumpy rectangles with paw prints at the bottom.
- Outline everything with your black fine-liner, then erase pencil marks gently.
- Colour the hood and body warm brown, the face and tummy patch beige, and add a red detail on his chest. Shade lightly for depth.
🌟 Did You Know?
El Brown's design is inspired by the strong, calm energy of a brown bear, which is why his suit looks so heavy and protective in the game.
Tips for a Better El Brown Drawing
- Keep his eyebrows sharp and slanted — that is what gives him his tough expression.
- Use two shades of brown so the hood and body do not look flat.
- Add a tiny shine on the eyes with a white gel pen to make him look alive.
- Press lightly with your pencil so mistakes are easy to fix.
🎯 Try This Mini Challenge
- Draw El Brown three times, each smaller than the last.
- Give each version a different facial expression — angry, happy and surprised.
- Colour only one of them and leave the others as line art.
- Show your favourite version to a friend and ask which expression they like best.
