Umbreon is one of the most popular Eeveelutions — the sleek black fox Pokémon with glowing yellow rings. Its clean, geometric design makes it one of the easiest Pokémon to draw well. Perfect for ages 6 and above.

🖍️ What You Need

  • Pencil and eraser
  • Black marker
  • Yellow marker
  • Red marker (for the eye ring)
  • White gel pen or white paint (for highlights)

How to Draw Umbreon Step by Step

  1. Draw the head — a circle with two large pointed ears. The ears are long and slightly curved inward at the tips.
  2. Add the face — large, round, red eyes with yellow ring markings around each eye. A small round nose.
  3. Draw the forehead ring — a small circular yellow ring on the forehead between the ears.
  4. Sketch the body — a cat-like oval body, similar in size to the head. Four short legs with small rounded paws.
  5. Add the tail — a thick tail curving upward, with a yellow ring near the tip.
  6. Draw the body rings — yellow ring markings on each leg and along the body sides.
  7. Colour and finish — fill the body solid black. Colour all rings yellow, the eye rings red. Add white highlight dots in each eye.
💡 Parikshet's Tip: Umbreon's rings are the most important detail — get the yellow rings crisp and evenly spaced and the drawing immediately looks polished. Use a fine-tip yellow marker over black for the best result.
