Let's draw a cute cartoon boy! This easy guide uses simple shapes that any kid can follow with Parikshet.
What You'll Need
- Pencil (HB or 2B)
- Eraser
- White paper
- Black marker
- Skin tone, blue, and black coloured pencils
Step-by-Step: Drawing a Cartoon Boy
Step 1: Draw the Head
Draw a large circle in the upper half of your page. In cartoon style, the head is large compared to the body. Make it a clean, smooth circle.
Step 2: Draw the Hair
On top of the circle, draw a jagged or spiky shape for the hair. Boys' cartoon hair is often a series of upward spikes or a curved flop to one side. Choose your style.
Step 3: Draw the Face
Draw two large oval eyes in the upper-middle of the face with small dot pupils. Draw a tiny curved triangle for the nose, and a wide curved smile for the mouth. Add two small curved lines on the cheeks for a friendly look.
Step 4: Draw the Ears
Add two small C-shaped ears on either side of the head, level with the eyes.
Step 5: Draw the Body
Below the head, draw a rectangle for the torso — about the same width as the head. Add a T-shirt collar at the top. The body is about half the height of the head in a cute cartoon style.
Step 6: Draw the Arms and Hands
Draw two sausage-shaped arms coming off the sides of the body. At the end of each arm, draw a simple fist or an open hand with four small finger lines.
Step 7: Draw the Legs and Shoes
Draw two straight rectangular legs below the body. Add rounded cartoon shoes at the bottom pointing outward slightly.
Step 8: Outline and Colour
Outline everything in black marker. Colour the face and hands skin tone, the hair dark brown or black, and the shirt any bright colour like blue or red.
Colouring Tips
Give your cartoon boy a favourite colour shirt. Add a small pocket or logo on the shirt for a personal touch. Leave a tiny white highlight in each eye to make them look alive.
Parikshet's Tips
