The Story

They poured some milk into a saucer, then added a few drops of food colouring at the edges. The colours floated on top like tiny rainbow islands.

Then came the magic. Parikshet dipped a cotton bud in a drop of dish soap and gently touched the centre of the milk. The colours SHOT outward like fireworks.

"WHOA," he gasped. "Why did it do that?" His dad laughed. "Because soap breaks the milk's surface, and the colours rush away from it. THAT is science."
