How to Draw Minecraft Characters Step by Step
- Steve — a cuboid head with a pixelated face, brown blocky hair, a cyan shirt (rectangle body), and blue trouser legs. All squares and rectangles.
- Alex — similar to Steve but with orange hair, a green shirt, and slightly slimmer arms.
- Creeper — a tall green blocky body with the iconic frowning face (square eyes, fanged mouth) and four short legs.
- Zombie — a green-skinned humanoid like Steve, with a darker shirt, arms held straight out in front (the classic zombie pose).
- Use a ruler — every Minecraft shape is a square or rectangle, so straight ruled lines are essential.
- Add the pixel faces — draw facial features as small squares (pixels) rather than smooth shapes.
- Keep proportions blocky — square heads, rectangular bodies and limbs, no curves anywhere.
- Colour — Minecraft's signature flat block colours: green Creeper, brown-and-cyan Steve, dark zombie.
🌟 Did You Know?
Minecraft is the best-selling video game of all time, with over 300 million copies sold. Its blocky world is made entirely of cubes that players can mine and build with. The famous Creeper was created by accident when the developer mixed up the dimensions while trying to make a pig! Minecraft is also used in thousands of schools to teach everything from history to coding.
Minecraft Characters to Draw
