How to Draw a Minecraft Bee — Easy Step-by-Step for Kids
Minecraft Bees are adorable blocky creatures! They're fuzzy, they carry pollen, and they're surprisingly easy to draw. Let's go with Parikshet!
What You'll Need
- Pencil (HB or 2B)
- Eraser
- White paper
- Black marker
- Yellow, black, and white coloured pencils
- Ruler
Step-by-Step: Drawing a Minecraft Bee
Step 1: Draw the Main Body Square
Draw a large square in the centre of your page — Minecraft Bees are perfectly square-bodied. Make the sides equal and straight using a ruler.
Step 2: Draw the Head Square
To the right of the main square, draw a smaller square for the head — about half the size of the body square, connected to the right side of the body.
Step 3: Draw the Pixel Eyes
On the head square, draw two rectangles side by side for the pixel eyes — solid black. The eyes take up most of the head face. Add a tiny black smile below the eyes.
Step 4: Draw the Stinger
On the left side of the body (opposite the head), draw a small triangle pointing outward — the stinger. Make it dark brown or black and stick out from the left face of the body.
Step 5: Draw the Wings
Above the body, draw two wide, flat rectangular wing shapes angled slightly upward. Minecraft bee wings are translucent and thin — draw them as outlined rectangles with very light pale blue or leave them white.
Step 6: Draw the Black Stripes
Add two or three horizontal black stripes across the body square from left to right edge, spaced evenly — this is the classic bee stripe pattern.
Step 7: Add the Six Legs
Below the body draw six short rectangular legs — three on each side, pointing downward. Minecraft bee legs are simple stubby rectangles.
Step 8: Colour and Outline
Outline everything in black marker. Colour the body yellow between the black stripes. Wings very pale blue or white. Stinger dark brown. If you want a pollen-loaded bee, add tiny yellow dots on the legs!
Colouring Tips
Bright golden yellow for the body with clear black stripes. The contrast between yellow and black is what makes it instantly look like a bee.
Parikshet's Tips
- Use a ruler to keep all the square and rectangular shapes perfectly even — Minecraft is all about blocky perfection!
- The stripes are what make it look like a bee — don't skip them!
- Practice every day and you'll get better!
