Nobita from Doraemon is one of the most beloved anime characters in Asia — his round glasses, messy hair, and simple expression make him surprisingly easy to draw. Parikshet walks you through an outline sketch that captures his most distinctive features.
🖍️ What You Need
- Pencil HB and 2B
- Eraser
- White drawing paper
- Black pen for the final outline
How to Draw Nobita Outline Step by Step
- Draw the head — a large round circle for Nobita's face. His head is almost perfectly circular.
- Add the hair — a simple fringe at the top: a few straight lines coming down onto the forehead. One iconic hair spike sticking up at the back.
- Draw the glasses — two large round circles for the lens frames, connected by a thin nose bridge. Nobita's glasses are thick and round — they are his most recognisable feature.
- Add the face — small dot eyes behind the glasses, a simple curved nose line, and a small mouth.
- Sketch the ear — one visible ear on the side, with inner ear detail.
- Draw the neck and collar — a simple short neck and the collar of his school uniform.
- Add the uniform — Nobita wears a yellow shirt and blue shorts in the anime. Sketch the collar and shoulder lines.
- Outline in pen — go over the pencil sketch with a black pen, then gently erase the pencil guidelines.
💡 Parikshet's Tip: Nobita's round glasses are drawn BEFORE the eyes — draw the glasses circles first, then add the tiny dot eyes inside them. This keeps the proportions right.
