🎨 What You Need

  • Plain white paper or sketchbook
  • HB pencil and rubber

  • Pink and blue colouring pencils

How to Draw Cartoon Cotton Candy

  1. Draw the cone — a long thin triangle pointing down, about a third of the page tall.
  2. Add the cloud top — draw a wobbly bumpy outline above the cone, like four or five soft bumps joined together.
  3. Make it puffy — add a few extra bumps on the sides so the candyfloss looks wider than the cone.
  4. Cone texture — draw two diagonal lines across the cone to suggest waffle pattern.
  5. Add the face — two oval eyes with shiny dots, a tiny smile, and rosy cheeks.
  6. Ink the outline — go over pencil lines with a fineliner, then rub out the pencil.
  7. Colour — pink on one side of the cloud, light blue on the other, brown for the cone.
  8. Add highlights — small white gel-pen dots on the cloud and cone for a glossy cartoon shine.
